The Kepler and TESS missions have provided a wealth of data for exoplanet hunting. Both missions have unique systematic noise, originating from spacecraft motion and scattered background light. In my recent paper I have shown that it is possible to find smaller transiting planets, hiding in the light curves of known planet systems. In this talk I will demonstrate the state-of-the-art techniques for removing difficult systematics in Kepler, K2 and TESS, and use live coding to show how simple and fast it can be to obtain the most precise light curves possible. I will show how careful treatment of the systematics can be used to identify planet candidates that would otherwise remain hidden in the data. These techniques are broadly applicable to any astronomical time-series data, in this talk I will discuss new, open source tools that can be used by astronomers of any level to get down to the precision required to find planets.
