ITAMP

The Institute for Theoretical Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics (ITAMP) was established in 1988 to attract and encourage talented graduate students to enter this field of research, which emphasizes theoretical study of fundamental questions in atomic and molecular physics. ITAMP hosts many visitors, both long- and short-term, and conducts numerous conferences and workshops annually.

TEMPO will be the first space-based instrument to monitor major air pollutants across the North American continent hourly during daytime. The instrument, to be completed in 2017, will share a ride on a commercial satellite to a geostationary orbit about 36,000 kilometers above the Earth's equator.
